I think the point that is often missed is that this "fact" has almost nothing
to do with whether you will get good pictures out of a Leica when you have
Tri-X loaded.

I shoot almost 100% of my black and white on Tri-X in 35mm or 120 because I
like the look of the film and I like to be able to hand hold pictures most of
the time.

The bottom line is, if you get a good photo, you are never "wasting" your
equipment. Resolution and sharpness, IMHO, is a relatively minor aspect of
picture "quality."
