Ah yes. Canada has a mosquito for every season, you
know. Even for the snow.

The worst are the striped saltwater ones. Pure DEET, a
bug repellant that will melt your Leica bits, means
nothing to them.

Good news, though, Jo. They can't bite through
GoreTex. God knows, I've watched them try. They home
in on CO2 - so just don't breathe...

Remember, only the females bite :-)

The only people who know mosquitoes better than
Maritimers are Newfoundlanders. Right Greg?
