Ocracoke is still beautiful but a bit crowded in town during the summer.  We
camped there once about 20 years ago.  The mosquitos were so bad we couldn't
leave the tent.  That was just before the hurricane so the wind had dropped.
Later visits and habitation have been much more pleasant.
