not to detract from an excellent list, in actuality, the noctilux
wide open has the seventh smallest depth of field of any M lens,
by my reckoning:

135/2.8   1.12 inch at 6 feet
135/3.4   1.37 inch at 6 feet
135/4.0   1.60 inch at 6 feet
 90/2.0   1.86 inch at 6 feet
 75/1.4   1.89 inch at 6 feet
 90/2.8   2.60 inch at 6 feet
 50/1.0   3.08 inch at 6 feet

i just shot 72 straight exposures over a long weekend with the noctilux
wide open, and about half of the next roll.  until i got the noct, i never
thought 100 ASA was too fast, and i never thought 1/1000 was too slow! :-)
