Why not both?
I already have a film M that will keep going like the Energizer bunny.
If Leica, God forbid, jumps into digital and stops making a film M, it would
suck, but I have one...

Would you rather have a digital M or a film M?  Because, in the case of a
company as small as Leica, you're unlikely to be able to have both, unless
you're willing to sacrifice a great deal of quality for both systems.
