Subject: RE: [Leica] digital M (what's the benefit?)

"So please illuminate me. What's so great about a digital M? And if folks
have sites to direct me to, that show digital photography that they'd like
to
take with a M6-digital...post that or email the urls to me."

More than to speculate I like to talk about my own experiences and this is
not possible in this case since doesn't exist a M6 digital. But, yes, I can
comment my experiences in the case of Canon, pardon to mention a camera non
Leica, since I alternative or simultaneously use a EOS 1V and a digital EOS
D30.

The digital one means IMHO:

* The most absolute readiness. The picture with an available computer is
ready! Finito Polaroid!
* The non dependence of a laboratory for the manipulation of the pictures in
color. The inconsistency of the results even in professional laboratories it
has been, in my case, flagrant.
* The posiblidad of immediate file in a half quite resistant one: Cd, and in
my case from next week DVD-R
* The possibility of electronic corections ad infinitum and I would not
scorn this creative posibility for who considers it convenient.

I believe that the digital picture must be in the future, since it is in its
initial development for the amateurs, a group of tools that progressively
will complement first and then supplement to the traditional picture. Just
my opinion. Perhaps Leica wish to back this tendence.

Kind regards

Félix
