Hi Felix,
Absolutely true! However, how many people on the LUG require that kind of
immediacy? Unless they are working news photographers and even then, on
about 99% of news assignments the deadline isn't that tight unless it
happens to be a disaster of some kind and the paper is right at press run
time.

Digital cameras are pretty good right now and are being used by news
gathering agencies and commercial photographers by the thousands, but only
for the convenience and not the improvement of making better photographs.

When I read some of the LUG posts on this digital topic and how the M camera
should be developed into a digital version of some kind, I can't but wonder
what all the fuss about digital is, unless one is a working news
photographer. The rest of the members, primarily the amateur crew, really
don't need digital as all it becomes is another neat toy to carry around.
Will it make them far better photographers? Not likely.

When in fact many probably could use more time taking pictures with film and
becoming better photographers rather than becoming excited electronic button
pushers.
