I believe that weak batteries will affect the display but not the accuracy
of the readings. But checking the instructions, I can't verify that. I'll

P.S. I got the R8 back yesterday. 24-Hour turnaround is not bad service :)
I'll get the M6 with the counter problem back on Monday, and that's a
mechanical repair - also pretty darned good service!
