Subject: [Leica] September Pop Photo....Leica images

The September issue has a small portfolio of images shot by a French couple
(Keller?). The text is resplendent with praise for the quality of leica
lenses and hardware, but the images don't seem to support the technical
quality of the system. If anything, they are an embarrassment. The images
themselves, from the standpoint of composition and feeling, are beautiful,
but the technical quality is so poor, even for a magazine reproduction, that
I would object if I was the photographer. The article does mention that
they were using reproductions, but I can't help but wonder if it might have
been better for the photographers to supply the scans to the magazine
directly.
