Hi,

I don't want to begin a descussion. I'm with the people in the States like my brother and cousin who live in NYC. But I don't think that the whole problem is the educating the people. One should look to the root of the problem, why there are people, who celebrate this crazy, mad attack. I think the US-Goverment, because it is the only world power, is attacked, because the people see that the USA supports someone like Sharon, who's suspected to be a mass murder. I think, the US foreign policy in the last 6 month plays a big role. Hey, look at the world: The US i the only power, there are Palestinians, who think and pray for peace, not only these people but the people of Israel too. But what is the reaction of the Americans. Only support for Sharon. We have to think about a world in 20-30 years. Hey, we have to think of our childs and the next generation. Is it possible, to make Afghanistan totally like a earthquake-region? The question is, could it be the solution?

At the moment the German Chancler is talking about the 'American War'. War against whom? In 1996 there was Oklahoma City. The first re-actions were thtat Arabs (I'm not one) and then the others were responsible for it. After a few days it came out that it was an Aerican group. What I want to say isthat we have first to find out who was responsible for this attack and then try to find out what we can do.

Guys, what I want to say is that we have to investigate and find out who's responsible for this.

Sorry for this, but I think at the moment no one is thinking about Leica and so on....

Maybe it's time to put things into perspective. First of all I would like to
say that I am totally against violence of any sort and against any sort of
extremism. I'm still shocked about what happened yesterday.

- - These barbaric terror acts have been prepared by intelligent,
well-prepared people. This is not just a terror act, it's the proof that any
man that is willing to die can create chaos beyond belief.

- - The media has its way of manipulating things. A bunch of extremist
children, women and men chanting and dancing or whatever are hardly
representative of a population as a whole. I would be very careful with what
is shown on TV. Having lived in the Middle-East, I can tell you that most of
the time these manifestations are organised for the media.

- - Religeous extremism is almost always the result of poverty, opression etc.
Example: Iran and the Shah regime. The palestinians (in palestine) have been
opressed and reduced to poverty for the last 50 years, living in a state of
apartheid and racism. (The interview of Ariel Sharon by Amos Oz, Davar
17.12.1982, should give you an idea about Israeli politics, the writings of
Israel Shahak also). Some of them, desperate, have turned to islamic
extremism, having no fear of death or blowing themselves up. What do you
want to do? Kill them?.... What do they care? Kill their families and other
innocent people (as proposed by israeli government) and you become barbaric
yourself.

- - Usama ben Laden is a renegade terrorist. He's very rich, very intelligent
and very mad. He decided that the USA represent the evil that supports a
racist and fascist country called Israel that is, in his mind, the cause of
all the trouble in the middle-east. His hope, I think, is that the conflict
will escalate and include middle-eastern countries that are more on the
moderate side. Will he succeed?

- - These acts are the proof that no country is safe against desparate
kamikaze terrorists.

- - Maybe the USA should review it's foreign policy. I was wondering if all of
this would have happened if Palestinians and Israelis had signed the Peace
treaty due to the efforts of G.W.Bush...

In the end it's all about suffering. How can anybody expect that the
suffering will end by retaliation? There is enough war already in the world.
Who benefits from it? Certainly not us regular folks!

Tarek, disgusted.
