I didn't mention in my earlier post that when I had my CL repaired by
DAG a few years ago he offered me the option to reset the meter
circuitry for the currently available batteries.  I had him do so, not
being aware of the Wein cells or the Cris adapter at the time.  I
wouldn't make this change today, given the battery alternatives, but
must say that the CL as modified works just fine with silver cells.
