Eventually any number of Leica m6 users finally throw them away. Others like myself pull it off as a part of the wrapping and chuck it immediately. However, Mark asked an honest question of wondering where he could buy the plastic and some of us ragged him over it unfairly, but I don't have any idea as I assume it comes from Germany when the camera is built. Bottomline?
