Know what you mean, Craig.....I have a small lowe-pro bag with 
2-Ms, three lenses, tiny flash, meter, film.....

When I pick up my Nikons/lenses (for "work", usually!)..I >>HATE<< it!!

seems TWICE as heavy/bulky....but I often need close focusing/accurate framing
(again, for "work").....not so with my "fun" outfit!
