I think for a heavy shooter you are going to have to learn to make decisions
to print from the negatives. In color neg, find a high volume lab that is
clean and runs a lot of control strips(what you are looking for is very flat
lines within five units of 0 and all three colors grouped tightly) and have
them process only. Pick up the negs, sleeve them and look at them with a
good loop. Have only the best printed. Or, purchase a near 4000 dpi
scanner and do it at home. Scanners are getting to be near $500 these days
so that isn't too high a price for someone who shoots more than 5 rolls a
week; much less someone who looks at a brick as a nice couple of hours.

For E-6, probably your best price will come from mailers sold by many
companies. If you get to be high volume, think JOBO. For that matter, a
JOBO might make sense for more than 10 rolls a week of mixed film. Check
the archives for direction there.
