Guilty, it has been a constant companion since June, and is often on the
car floor.

It may be a piece of cake to correct it, however it sure isn't to find
anything on the archives, I spent an hour there yesterday to no avail.
I was searching under M6 Rangefinder Misalignment / alignment.
Pointers gratefully accepted.
