Subject: [Leica] borrowed equipment

our leica rep stopped in yesterday and let us borrow a bunch of equipment.
i took home a 21mm f2.8 and 90mm f2.0, plus an SF-20 flash. i haven't had
a chance to use the lenses yet, but last night i played around with the
SF-20 a little bit.

i was surprised to find that it doesn't use "regular" batteries--i.e,
AA's. it takes 123's, which i suppose gives it a fast recycling time.
still, i kept muttering to myself, "only leica would make a flash that
takes unusual batteries." also, i found it's foot REALLY tight in the
hotshoe. i was afraid i'd break it trying to get it off the camera.

anyhow, i have a feeling i'm really going to like this 21mm.

best,
brad
