Any of the 50's have the "glow".  Starting with the Summar which can be
incredibly cheap and has a look all of it's own at F2 to the rigid Summicron
which has a classic Leica look you won't go wrong.  The newer the lens the
sharper it is wide open.  Probably the best bargain is an Elmar which is a
good performer even uncoated.  As an added attraction, most of these lenses
are collapsible which makes them very compact to carry.

Most of the older lenses should be CLA'd prior to use.  Just cleaning them
can make an incredible difference in their performance.
