Kyle,

This is very commendable.  Having photographed in and around the Guatemala
city dump myself and Bucharest (documenting families and, in particular,
children) I can vouch for the extreme conditions under which these people
live.  Extreme is an understatement, even; it's something most of us, even
those who have witnessed it, can't properly comprehend.

Most of us have some very expensive gear.  We talk about buying camera
lenses that easily cost over a thousand dollars and then bicker about what
color or vintage is better.  If we can afford that, we can afford to open
our pockets a bit, especially in this season.
