A really nice feature is to use the SF20 flash OFF the R8. Nikon makes the SC-17 cable which lets you put the SF20 hand held up to six feet away from the camera. That ,and auto -1.5 stops to ambient in "P" mode or what ever you want whenset in "M" mode makes a handy tool to fill in daylight shadow holes, put catch lights in eyes or bring up color saturation.
