Gates certainly had the better marketing plan, not necessarily the
better product. 
It also helps when IBM hands you the keys to the kingdom.

I'm sorry to see that you measure the inteligence of a individual by the
size of their bank account. Bill Gates is smart, no doubt about that.
Mozart was broke all his life and he wasn't exactly an idiot.
