That's why I don't use TMAX - I have never been able to get consistent
results.  Sometimes it works fine, other times blank film or at least
very very thin film.  My solution?  Use Tri-X and XTOL.

Well, I now know that if you buy a roll of TMAX 3200 in 1995, expose it
in 
1997, and then in 2002 develop in in 1:3 XTol at 70 degrees for 12
minutes, 
and fix it properly, it comes out completely blank; not even the frame 
numbers or Kodak annoations are visible.

A roll of less-antique film in the same tank came out fine.
