Is it possible that "straight photography" has had its day? Since the real world of image making has gone digital, there's no place for "old fashioned" photography-- a 19th C. technology after all-- to go but backwards-- perhaps with a post-modern twist. We'll soon see the publication of "Photography's Antiquarian Advant-Garde," due out this spring.
