This shot has great light.  With that said I think that it would be stronger
if the horse was turned toward the lens.  Usually, this can be accomplished
by shaking some grain in a bucket.

If you go to horse shows and watch the paid photographers they usually toss
something in the air to get the horse to assume the correct head up and ears
forward position.
