If you want a wonderful lens in this range, (90mm f2) get any of the
TeleElmarits. They will cost you about US $500 -600

For a few hundred dollars more, you can have an Elmarit 90, with about the
same performance.

Flare? I have never experienced it with my TE, and I've been shooting it
for about ten years. I always use the hood, though.

I dunno about the Summicron. It looks wonderful, but I cannot think that it
will be a thousand dollars better. It is also heavier. It is also fatter.
It also makes the camera front heavy.

If you want similar quality for under US $100, then consider the Jupiter 9.
F2.

Just stop trashing this nice little lens. It works well, it is small, it is
pretty, and it makes nice pictures.
