I'm ambivalent. I like the idea of energy production from non-polluting sources.
But these huge things kill all sorts of raptors, according to by birder friends,
which seems like a high cost. Yes, this part of California has raptors like some
places have mice, but watching them gives me great pleasure - whether soaring or
sitting soggy and wretched on a roadside tree during the winter.

What do you can't tell from a photo is that some of these things are LOUD. I
wouldn't want to live next to a wind-farm.
