Subject: [Leica] My First PAW
From: ISILVERMN@aol.com

After lurking for the past few years with an occasional comment, I've decided
to enter the fray and post what I hope to be the first of a regular series of
PAW entries.

I'm working off high-quality 4x6 prints made by a local Pro-lab and scanned
on a "cheap" flatbed scanner with no software enhancement.

The subject for this initial entry are patterns found on the trunks of some
of the eucalyptus trees here in SoCal.

My PAW can be found at: <<http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=573465>>

First alternate: <<http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=573474>>

Second alternate - taken on one of the rare days here with a relatively clear
sky and high clouds: <<http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5734811>>

First two taken with my Leica M4 and "Fat" Tele-Elmarit, the last with a new
Kobalux 21 f/2.8 purchased through Dante Stella. Very nice lens - still
learning the ropes on it.

Comments welcome and encouraged. Fire away!

Best,

Ira Silverman
