That was in my yewth. These days I'm much gentler on the gear. however,
I think equipment should be used, kinda like social security, don't
leave nothing behind for the next generation. 
When it comes to using someone else's lens's that a different story. It
makes me a nervous wreck making sure nothing happens to the equipment.
It's also the main reason why I was never comfortable renting stuff. I'm
just more at ease with what I own.
In this month's Rolling Stone, a friend of mine, Bob Yager, did the
piece on immigration. He probably used his M6, judging from the shots.
I'll have to ask him later on his gear choice. But in situations like
that, a person can put a year's worth of conventional wear in the space
of a week, or even a couple of days. Does it comes down to worrying
about putting a smudge mark on the finish, or getting the shot, no
matter what it takes?
