I agree with Eric, I thought the captions were condescending toward
the subjects - and those people might also feel similar to you for
taking photos of them instead of appreciating the fine art hanging on
the walls for your pleasure, education, and appreciation. 

BTW, there are quite a few watches in the design area of moma perhaps
the man in your 3rd photo was reflecting on that?
