Using a flash bounced off the wall or ceiling would give you some freezing 
without making the image look like it was taken with a flash. I used to use 
a Vivitar 283 and Ektachrome 400, but I think that a similarly powerful 
flash bounced off the ceiling with Fuji Superia 800 might be even better.
