It will be better than the first 28 Elmarit but not as good as the rest. It is not particularly good into the light (flare). If you shoot predominately at 5.6 or smaller it is an excellent value. Mine has the little dots and the all too typical edge separation but is still a good performer. If you are being offered the lens under $200 then it is a good deal assuming mechanics good. Beyond that price look at the Canon 28 F3.5 which is in the $200 range often with a finder. You will of course have to find a LTM to M adapter.
