Subject: RE: [Leica] Bike Messenger Camera bags

BTW - I'd be interested in hearing off-line from anyone who has used or uses
one of the large Crumpler messenger bags with the photo insert - I looked at
it on the webpage today and that is one very tempting looking bag.

Thanks

Anyone interested in using a bike messenger bag for photo use might want to
check out some of their local bike shops. There are a number of companies
that make messenger bags, but the basic design concept is pretty similiar
amongst them. I use a Timbuk2 El-Ocho (med. size bag) for bike commuting and
frequently carry a IIIf along. I like the Timbuk2 because you can easily
custom order one and pick the fabric, colors, features etc.. that you want.

My wife liked the bag so much that I ended up getting her one of their
commuter computer bags. I only used it a few times as a camera bag (using
Domke inserts), but I'll probably take it along on a trip we are taking at
the end of June. It is quite a bit roomier than my Filson or Domke bags, but
is a bit slower to work out of.
