Lots of people buy cameras from all sorts of places every day without doing any research on what they want or need, and leave it totally up to the salesman to tell him what he should buy. He figures he doesn't have to buy film or have it developed, and it isn't such a stretch to think maybe he is so stupid that he thought he brings the digital camera someplace where they magically extract his photos free of charge, after all, the salesman said: "Never buy film or pay for developing again."
