Subject: [Leica] Buying New Leica Intl. Versus USA Designated Lenses

Hello, All,

I am a new and aspiring Leica R8 amateur and am hoping to buy my first
real Leica telephoto lens. I have the 100mm APO, but don't feel it's a
telephoto lens. While shopping around for a new Leica 280mm Telyt f/4 on
the Net, I'm noticing a wide degree of pricing between sellers of this
fine lens. Genesis Camera (at Yahoo) is offering this lens for $3,050,
far below other sellers (by $1,000). But at this lowest price, it has
the Intl. designation. What do the Intl. versus USA designations mean to
a Leica lens buyer?
