Ted,

Birkenstocks without socks makes for comfort and keeps airport security at
bay.

Regarding the pants,  you could just let them fall, then bend over to give
the untrained security guys a view of the moon.

Of course,  I am sure they spotted you for a rascal from the gitgo.
