[Leica] Fuji Neopan SS 100 film - what's it like?

Dear All,

Using B&W film in Indonesia isn't easy: few dealers stock it, the range
of available emulsions is small, few labs can process it and the cost
of printing is high (I live in a rented place and it's not practical to
build my own darkroom, even if I wanted to). 

Consequently, I've only used colour negative film with my Leicas up
until now. However, I really would like to try B&W and I noticed that a
local Fuji shop has some stock of Neopan SS 100 ASA film at approx.
US$2.50 per roll. So, I fancy trying it if it's any good. Strangely
enough, I can find absolutely NO information about this film on the
'net, even at Fuji's own web sites.

Has anyone tried Neopan SS 100 ASA film? What are its strengths and
weaknesses? Is this a new Fuji product or an old one? 

I'd be grateful for any information.
