Subject: Re: [Leica] Demo Lens at Dealers

I don't know all the details, but that is how I got my
Noctilux, and saved about $300 off the price of a
"new" lens. I also got the USA Passport warranty.
According to the dealer (in downtown San Francisco) it
was a true "demo" that had only been used by the Leica
rep, not a "repaired" lens. The lens came with box,
papers, etc. and has worked perfectly for over two
years.

I'd say if the lens looks good and has the Passport
warranty, go for it and save the money. DJ
