Roland:  You clearly didn't get 100 Nigerian businessman spam emails in
one day.  I suspect that one of these scammers is subscribed to the LUG,
because I have been seeing them addressed to the LUG, and the ones I have
received individually match the ones people complain about on the LUG.

Brian: please close the list except to those who actually belong.  Or kick
everyone off and make them resubscribe.  I know this will tick off
institutional sellers, but I'm sure that all six of them can deal with
the inconvenience of actually reading mailing lists they advertise on.
Maybe better, design a filter that eliminates all posts mentioning African
countries by name.
