Well,  It's a small world.  If someone listed the serial # of my 1979 stolen
 Leica cameras and lens I would say, OK, you bought them from someone,
who bought them from somebody else.  You are not guilty,
but give them back to me,  before I call the police.

 Just out from left field, can anyone tell me why people on the net practice
 this wierd religion where they list a camera/accessory serial number in an
 incognito fashion, as 123xxx?  There are not access numbers to swiss bank
 accounts.  I can simply think of no good reason to conceal the serial
 number.
