I tend to doubt the more accurate metering claim - I do not for a second,
however, doubt the brighter viewfinder claim. A few months back I had a
chance to fiddle around with someone's Leicaflex SL ?, and I the brightness
of the viewfinder made manual focusing in really dim light a snap.
Similarly, I was impressed by the R6.2 viewfinder.

valid question - it's also interesting to note that in the thread I referred
to (http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=003ZzL) Mike Levitt
also claims more accurate flash and non-flash exposures with the R8, and
comparing viewfinders, the R8's is like cleaning the petroleum jelly off the
lens.
