Subject: [Leica] Lens hood for R

While browsing through a box of misc. hoods I came across a Hoya 55mm
hood. On a whim, I decided to try it out on my 50mm Summilux-R. It fit
like it was made for it. It extends out 3/4's of an inch, a prodigious
extension by Leica standards these days. It also makes using a polarizer
much easier, as I can rotate it by the hood.
It is also very light, unlike the 50mm hoods from Nikon and Canon.
All these at the mere cost of $7.00. The shop had at least 5-7 in that
box of various vintages.
