 From a purely mechanical standpoint, it would be good feature when you 
go to mount or remove the lens. The collapsible lenses do not have much 
to grab a hold of and using the focusing helical (or lens tube and 
locking mech) to apply force when changing lenses cannot be considered 
good practice. The same would go in spades for the screw mount lenses.
