__Digiscoping: Ideal for photography and monitor
observation as well with LEICA TELEVID 62

With the introduction of the LEICA TELEVID 62 and LEICA APO-TELEVID 62 spotting scopes, the Leica company as of October 2002 expands its line of sports optics products with compact outdoors products that are easy to transport and pleasant to use. Their outstanding image brightness – the image sharpness of the model 62 scopes is comparable to that of the top performance model 77 scopes – also makes the two new high-performance spotting scopes eminently suitable for ‘Leica Digiscoping’. The Leica Digital Adapter enables the unique combination of the high-performance LEICA TELEVID 77 and LEICA TELEVID 62 spotting scopes with the LEICA DIGILUX 1 digital camera. When the nature observer spots an interesting subject, he or she can attach the camera to the eyepiece by means of this adapter and then, by simply pushing a button, capture the scene on a round photograph. The large 2.5” monitor on the camera is beautifully suited for the evaluation of cropping and composition. Furthermo!
re, it enables several persons to view the image at the same time.

__’Leica M lenses’ brochure now online

The brochure 'Leica M lenses. Their Soul and their Secrets' by the Dutch photojournalist Erwin Püts is devoted to the technical features of Leica lenses for the Leica rangefinder system. With his expert knowledge and the experience of many test series, Püts compares the various focal lengths in the product range. The main theme of the brochure is the high performance of the Leica M lenses and the way Leica's highly competent optical designers keep managing to derive maximum performance from the optical systems. Besides the technical explanations, the brochure includes clearly interpreted graphs and measurement curves.

The brochure 'Leica M lenses. Their Soul and their Secrets' is available here as a pdf file in German and English:
