Hi Henning,

With my eyesight it can't hurt! Plus, you can remove it from the camera 
and it put in front of the VC 12mm external viewer and magnify that 
image 1.25 times.

The designer of this thing (the 1.25 gizmo) must have been Mr. Peanut's 
eyeware consultant before joining Leica.
