Hello Leica friends,

I have put up some new photos for your review.
These were taken in Montreal last week where Mother Nature was
vascillating between Fall and Winter. It was actually snowing at varying
intensity when most of these photos were taken.

My main entry is:

The St Jospeh Oratory looms on the West side of Mount Royal
over the city. It is a very sacred site for many Roman Catholics,
and stories of miracles abound. The woman on the staircase
actually stopped and kneeled on each and every step to say a prayer.
Such sights are not uncommon here. I was in awe and humility.

My alternative entry is:

Le Commensal is a quality vegetarian Cafe/Cafeteria with
soft lighting and artwork on the wall. I was waiting for a friend, and
saw this couple at the next table. I like the lighting, simple graphic
elements, the expressions of the protagonists, and the separation
between them. I look at this photo and want to write a screen play
LOL. I want comments on this photo more than on any other. What
does it invoke in you ?

This photo is iconic Quebec: http://www.pbase.com/image/7255140
The Fleur de Lys in the snow. France in the North. Iconic sounds better
than cliche doesn't it ? :-)

Our Lady of the Snows is such a lovely name. It is the main cemetary in
Montreal, on the Mount Royal, near the Oratory, with a very beautiful park:

I can never bring myself to show a lot of the sky the way GeeBee
or Rob Heyman so successfully do. If you ever see a new landscape
from me that has lots of sky, you will know that I've been thinking of
Graham. How does he do it with so much sky and so little land ?

My complete series can be viewed at:

Sorry for the redundancy with the Park photos. I have the hardest time
editing them out. I would prefer to keep 2 of the 4, but cannot make up
my mind. Help !

Leica Loyalists will be pleased that the majority of the photos were
taken with Leica equipment. On the other hand, my apologies to Leica
Purists, as the photos were taken with a Canon digital camera.
[I found a R-to-EOS lens adapter. Yeah ! Thank you Bob.]

Comments, criticisms, good, bad, ugly, all very welcome
and appreciated. This is _Serious Photography_, lightly taken.
Thanks all.
