I feel very guilty about the posting I made with the above heading. It was
made tongue in cheek as a half funny posting and hence the little face at
the end of it. I guess there is a difference in the American and British
senses of humour because there have been a number of postings reassuring me
that my work is good enough to submit, and that I shouldn't commit suicide
yet for a while! Just to reassure those of you who are concerned about my
future, my work is amongst the work submitted and displayed ready to be
judged with the others. However, the kind words and concern were much
appreciated! I think I will be round for a little longer, mainly because
nobody offered to buy my cameras at a good price ;>)

Regards to all

Gerry -

You are going about it the wrong way. Instead of looking at the best
images on FMO2 - and there is an abundance of wonderful photos this year -
go through and pick out the ones which prompt you to say, "Now why did they
submit that?" Out of almost 900 photos there are bound to be some that you
question.
Concentrate on those and tell yourself, "I can do better than that with my
eyes shut!"

Your photos that I've seen are certainly worthy of inclusion in the FMO2.
