Subject: [Leica] OT: Mourning the loss of the CSM
From: John Collier <jbcollier@shaw.ca>

Many years ago I used to subscribe to the international version of the
CSM. It was a wonderful paper with coverage from every major region of
the world. If no major "news" happened in one area then they presented
in-depth articles on the region. IT WAS WONDERFUL!

Then the CSM had a "Night of the Long Knives"; firing most of their
international editors and reporters. The International became a weekly
two page supplement to the US edition. I was outraged: the only time
religion incited me to a murderous rage. I briefly considered fire
bombing the local CS reading room but little old ladies are so dry they
are difficult to ignite (hyperbole for effect).

Now my wife suffers terribly as every time we pass a CS reading room, I
launch into my "did I ever tell you about how wonderful the
International version of the CSM was" routine.
