But as BD would say, without the title and/or explanation we would not know

what is going on. So, somehow, you will need to include more of the person

blowing the bubbles while still showing the "Nocti" glowing balls. This may

have to be more of a set up shot or you will have to gain the trust of the

persons blowing the bubbles.

To overcome the bright lights behind your subject you will either have to

shoot from the lighted side for fill or provide some kind of fill from the

dark side. Fill flash would be easy but not really artistic and screams

"taking pictures here". It is possible that with the Noct. you could have a

large friend wearing white stand so there is some fill which would let you

get more detail in the faces. Any possibility of using car lights or a

flashlight?

As usual with this sort of comment, let your personal artistic desire lead

you and if the above is not at all where you wanted to go then the delete

key works real well.

Don,

First off, thank you for taking the time to give me feedback. I like hearing
where other people are coming from, because I think it's important to hear
what others are seeing...whether they be nudes, places shots, etc.

The Boardwalk is definately a destination point. These shots weren't really
intended to be indicitive of the Boardwalk on the whole, because they're (to
me) more emotive than illustrative. (IF that makes any sense). The ONE
thing I intended to do while taking shots down there was to somehow begin to
look at and perhaps start to capture the night time feel of the place, once
the tourists have gone home, once the sun has gone down. There's a duality
of having a slightly carnival like atmosphere while also being slightly seedy
and almost sinister (in some places).

So while I actually wanted these shots to be kinda dark, the bubbles merging
into blobs of back lights, I'll try your suggestions in some future shots,
trying some subjects/subject matter that would be illustrative/more
interesting with more light....who knows, maybe some late night street nudes.
 ; )

Again, thank you for taking the time to make some suggestions. I'll think
about implementing/trying them in a future Boardwalk session.
