Jeffrey,

Traditionally, most airports here in Europe (and I assume in the US as 
well) have prohibited photography in the passport control and security 
control areas but not in other parts of the airport.

I would assume that in the current climate you should probably be 
prepared to answer some questions if you are compulsively photographing 
in an airport...
