Is it technically fraud?  If the passport service is valid only (a) for 
a specified piece of equipment, (b) to a specified person, and (c) for 
a maximum period of three years from the date of purchase, then if that 
person claims service for that piece of equipment within three years of 
its initial purchase, how does it constitute fraud?  Does it explicitly 
say in the Passport legalese that you have to be the owner?  Or does it 
only state that the Passport service is only available to the "original 
owner"?  The orginal owner is still the orginal owner, even after 
having sold it.
