Yes, that is the strap chap!  Didn't he also write for Pop/Modern
Photography many years back?

I used those straps exclusively on my Leicas ever since they became
available.  Some fast talking flatlander talked me out of them and
swapped me for the Leica straps, which are a hell of a lot easier on
my neck than the thin Schwalberg straps.  Especially holding up a
Nikon F2 with motor drive and big lens!
